Foxboro, MA – The South Shore Kings are excited to announce NCDC Defenseman Ryan Diffley has made his commitment to play college hockey at Babson College!

Diffley, a native of Old Saybrook, CT, was acquired by the Kings on January 18th. He spent the first half of the season with the Springfield Pics. In 29 games played with Springfield, Diffley recorded 7-11-18. In 14 games with the Kings thus far, Ryan has recorded 12 assists. He has also been a big contributor to the powerplay. Prior to junior hockey, Ryan spent 4 years at Deerfield Academy and was Captain in his senior year.

“In my short time with the Kings thus far, I can see why former and current players rave about the organization. Coach Holske and Coach Omicioli have helped my game a tremendous amount and have shown me what it will take to make an impact at the next level. They work so hard to make sure that team culture drives our success on and off the ice, and from the moment I walked into the locker room I could feel how close everyone was. A huge thank you to Sheri, OC, Dane, and Linc as well for their dedication to the program and making our lives easier off the ice. I am super excited to play hockey at Babson next year, and so grateful for Coach Holske and Coach Omicioli’s help throughout the recruitment process. I feel very lucky to have been able to spend this time with such a special group of people, and I can’t wait for playoffs to start so we can work towards bringing the Dineen Cup back to Foxboro.” – Ryan Diffley

“We went out and acquired Ryan back in January. I had heard nothing but great things about him both as a person and as a player before joining the Kings. He has fit in so well with our group. He brings a positive attitude everyday and is well liked by his peers. On the ice, Ryan has given our back end a big boost. I have really enjoyed coaching him in his short time here. I look forward to watching him succeed at the next level.”  – GM/head Coach Tyler Holske

Ryan, along with current Kings forwards Brendan Keaveney and Matt Lemay, will join former Kings Danny Cavanagh, Joseph Kramer and Brian Grant at Babson in the fall.

Babson College is a proud member of the Little East Conference (LEC).Congratulations to Ryan and his family on this outstanding accomplishment!
