Housing options include carefully selected host families as well as apartment-style accommodations to best fit each player’s needs.
Housing coordination is managed by Sheri Cohen, who works closely with players and families to ensure a smooth transition and positive living experience during the season.
Last season, many of our players resided at Riverview Meadows in Raynham, MA, featuring spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments complete with in-unit washer and dryer access and full kitchens. Players also had access to community amenities including a swimming pool and basketball courts, creating a balanced environment both on and off the ice.
online school
The Kings U18 AAA Full Season program is committed to supporting student-athletes both on and off the ice by providing flexible academic options that fit each player’s educational goals and schedule. Players are able to choose an online academic program that best meets their individual needs while balancing the demands of training, travel, and competition.
South Shore is proudly affiliated with Prestans Online Academy, an accredited online school serving students in grades 6–12. The program offers a customizable and flexible learning environment designed specifically for student-athletes, allowing players to stay on track academically while pursuing elite hockey development.
To reinforce academic accountability and success, players participate in mandatory team study hall sessions three times per week prior to practice. This structured approach helps student-athletes maintain strong academic habits while developing in a high-performance hockey environment.
In-season Schedule
The Kings U18 AAA Full Season program provides a demanding and structured schedule designed to maximize player development and prepare athletes for the next level of competition. The season begins in August and runs through late February or early March, giving players a true full-season hockey experience.
The team competes in a highly competitive 50–60 game schedule, including participation in THF and BEAST Series showcases and events, providing valuable exposure against top-level competition throughout the season.
Players practice five times per week with additional open ice opportunities available both before and after team practices for extra skill development. Athletes can expect to be on the ice between 8 and 15 hours per week depending on the training schedule, games, and individual development sessions.
Off the ice, players participate in team workouts at EPS twice weekly, focusing on strength, conditioning, mobility, and overall athletic performance. The program also incorporates up to four team film sessions per week to enhance hockey IQ, systems understanding, and individual game analysis.
