Foxboro, MA – The South Shore Kings are excited to announce NCDC Forward Will Cavanagh has made his commitment to play college hockey at Wesleyan University!
Cavanagh, a native of East Greenwich, RI, is in his 1st season with the South Shore Kings NCDC team. Prior to joining the Kings, Cavanagh spent two years at Phillips Exeter. In 56 career games at Exeter, he had 31 goals and 26 assists. He has played 30 games for the Kings this season, recording 9 goals and 12 assists.
“I’m incredibly grateful for my time with the South Shore Kings. The culture within this organization is truly special, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of teammates, coaches, and staff to share this season with. I’m especially appreciative of the support I received throughout my injury, as well as during the recruitment and development process. Coach Holske and Coach Omicioli are two of the best coaches out there and have significantly made me a better hockey player and person. With playoffs right around the corner, I’m excited for the opportunity to compete for a championship and finish the season strong.” – Will Cavanagh
“We are so proud of Will’s signing as it is so well deserved. I have known Will since he was a young player as our families have crossed paths throughout the years in Rhode Island hockey. This is a prime example of the apple doesn’t fall from the tree as his dad was a fierce two-way competitor who went on to be a great player at Holy Cross. I wish Will all the best and I know he will succeed at the next level due to his skillset, competitiveness, and family legacy.” – Drew Omicioli
“I could not be happier for Will and his family. Will is a culture driver. He is ultra-competitive. His on-ice play speaks for itself. He is well respected by his peers. He shows up every day with a positive attitude and wants to get better. I look forward to watching him succeed at the next level.” – Tyler Holske
Over the last few years, the South Shore Kings have seen many players go on to Wesleyan University.
Wesleyan University is a proud member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).
Congratulations to Will and his family on this outstanding accomplishment!
