Foxboro, MA – The South Shore Kings are excited to announce two-year NCDC Forward and Captain Eli Velepec has made his commitment to play college hockey at Wesleyan University!
Velepec, a native of Irondequoit, NY, is in his 2nd season with the South Shore Kings NCDC team. Last season, he recorded 13 goals and 18 assists in 51 regular season games. He also picked up 3 assists in 11 playoff games. Through 36 games this season, Velepec has 2 goals and 13 assists.
“Foxboro and the South Shore Kings will forever stand as a defining 2 years in the trajectory of my life. The practices, games, teammates, and coaches taught me the importance of stepping into the unknown and to never give up the fight. There were games we would be losing by 4 goals, but in our hearts, we knew we would come back and win. That belief not only allowed us to be successful on the ice but will also carry me far beyond the rink. I’ll always be proud to call myself a South Shore King!” – Eli Velepec
“Eli is everything you want as a coach. He drives our culture in Foxboro daily. He plays with a ton of passion and is ultra-competitive. Eli is versatile and as a coach, you can trust him to get the job done in any situation. Coach Potter and the entire Wesleyan University community are getting a terrific young man. I look forward to watching him succeed at the next level.” – GM/Head Coach Tyler Holske
Over the last few years, the South Shore Kings have seen many players go on to Wesleyan University.
Wesleyan University is a proud member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).
Congratulations to Eli and his family on this outstanding accomplishment!
