Foxboro, MA – The South Shore Kings are excited to announce two-year NCDC Forward and Captain Alec Babineau has made his commitment to play college hockey at Wesleyan University!

Babineau, a native of Lafayette, CO, is in his 2nd season with the South Shore Kings NCDC team. He joined the Kings at the halfway point last season. In 15 games played, he recorded a 7-5-12 line. He also had 2 goals and 4 assists in 11 playoff games. Through 34 games thus far this season, Babineau has 12 goals and 16 assists.

“I’m unbelievably thankful for the time I’ve spent with the Kings, both for every member of the staff and for every teammate in both years. Coaches Holske and Omicioli have been so effective in creating such a strong culture and bringing in great players and people to the program. I’m very thankful for all of their support in my development and in the recruitment process. A special thank you is also due to all who work behind the scenes to support the success of the program: Dane, OC, Sheri, Link and Mr. Franzosa. What we have at South Shore is special, and I’m so grateful to have spent such meaningful time in the program. I’m super excited to get started at Wesleyan this fall and I look forward to chasing a Dineen Cup with the team this spring!” – Alec Babineau

“Alec joined our team just before the deadline last season. He stepped in and had an immediate impact on this ice. Outside of being a good hockey player, Alec is an unbelievable person. He truly cares about his peers and everyone around him. Coming back this season as a Captain, Alec did a terrific job early on helping the new players get acclimated. As an organization, we take a lot of pride in bringing in good people. Alec is as good as they come.” – GM/Head Coach Tyler Holske

Over the last few years, the South Shore Kings have seen many players go on to Wesleyan University.

Wesleyan University is a proud member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).

Congratulations to Alec and his family on this outstanding accomplishment!
